WingNut was one of my first successful 'Trashy Trinkets' made from reclaimed scrap metal. I was so proud of him! He brought me so much joy that I began to keep him with me everywhere I went.
I soon noticed that everyone who laid eyes on him developed a big smile. I just knew WingNut would be the shop mascot and shop manager, representing our unique handmade metal creations!

Jesse Andrus – Metal Crafter
Jesse has cultivated a passion for arts and crafts since childhood. In 2025, he integrated his love of welding into his artistic projects, focusing on unique handmade metal creations. Following the completion of several works, encouragement from family and friends led him to share his craftsmanship more broadly by establishing an Etsy store to offer his metal creations, including reclaimed scrap metal art, to a wider audience.
Since then, welding art has become a form of therapy for Jesse.
“A bad day in the shop is better than any day in the office!” ~ Jesse Andrus
Jesse created a piece called WingNut, which later inspired the launch of WingNut’s Metal Works. WingNut is portrayed as having a unique personality, keeping a watchful eye on the shop, and frequently traveling. His journeys are often shared on social media for others to follow.
At present, this is a part-time pursuit; however, his long-term objective is to establish himself as a full-time metal artist. He intends to advance from creating welded art to developing expertise in metal sculpting and, potentially, blacksmithing.
“The most rewarding part of metal crafting is not making the sale, but the happiness my pieces bring to others.” ~ Jesse Andrus
Jesse expresses deep appreciation for his wife Teresa’s unwavering support of his metal crafting pursuits. She has consistently accompanied him through late nights in the workshop, weekends spent searching estate sales for unique metal objects, and numerous visits to replenish welding supplies, demonstrating her commitment at every stage of his endeavors.

Teresa Andrus - The Boss
Teresa is the brains of the operation. She follows the expenses and sales, ensuring that we stay within budget, especially when Jesse has his eye on a new piece of equipment he doesn’t really need. She is responsible for shipping every item sold to our customers, including our unique handmade metal creations crafted from reclaimed scrap metal.
With an amazing eye for materials that could be repurposed into art, Teresa often provides design assistance on various projects, including our popular Trashy Trinkets. She also helps manage our social media accounts, showcasing the cool AI images and videos that highlight our work!
Recently, Teresa has been diving into her own jewelry projects, embodying the spirit of a Jill of all trades! Most importantly, she’s the one who reminds us, “Don’t Touch That It’s Hot!”
